About the Event
Édith DeFaoite (a Fulbright Scholar from Ireland) will be giving a lecture about the forgotten women of the Irish Language Revival. This will be followed by a performance by award winning (and club member) Celtic harpist, Rhiannon Ramsey-Brimberg.
Édith is a Fulbright FLTA Irish Scholar at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. A native of County Kerry, she completed both her undergraduate degree and her Masters degree at University College Cork. Her MA thesis examined the work of Máire Ní Shíthe, a playwright and journalist active during the Irish Literary Revival.
